Olly’s passion for climbing began during the mid 80s in the Peak District. Since then he has climbed and skied in North and South America, Africa, Russia, the Himalayas and extensively in the European Alps. During this time he has made ascents of many alpine 'Grand Courses'.  He has made first ascents in the UK and the Alps, on-sighted traditional E6, Scottish VII and sport 7c.

As an International Mountain Guide, he holds the prestigious IFMGA carnet, which is the highest internationally recognised qualification for instruction and guiding in the disciplines of rock and ice climbing, mountaineering and skiing.

Olly is also a member of the British ski mountaineering team, competing at the World Championships in Italy 2006. Through his experience as a Guide he has been involved in production safety and stunt doubling in film and TV

Olly lives in Switzerland, just across the border from the Chamonix valley. In his spare time he is a DIY addict and general all round party animal.

Olly specialises in tailor-made guiding whether it be skiing, climbing or mountaineering. ‘Small is beautiful’ as they say; having small personalized groups increases flexibility thus increasing the quality of the experience.
